100 years since it was first published, and after a long and tortured road through the Hollywood development system spanning nearly 70 years, JOHN CARTER is finally in theaters. I started working on THIS version over 4 years ago, contributing Visual Development art and Storyboards...
Here's some of my early development artwork of Tharks, Woola, and the White Apes ( you can find some of these and more in the ART OF book )
Go see it!

Congratulations Derek. I loved that dog and it had Derek Thompson written all over the design! It reminded me of your EGGSUCKER. Hope all is good!
Derek! I saw a matinee of JOHN CARTER and was so pumped and Proud to see your WOOLA design up there. One of my fave things from the movie!
hi Derek! I saw John Carter last friday and Woola was one of my favorite parts. We yelled "space doggy!" every time it came on screen :) These designs are beautiful as usual. Your drawings are so fun to look at.
You and everyone else involved in bringing Barsoom to life have a lot to be proud of. The Tharks, White Apes, airships, all the cool stuff I've wanted to see on screen since I was twelve, it all looked great! And Woola stole every scene he was in.
Holy cow! Gorgeous work. I love the energy and flow of these designs. Very inspiring. Grats to you and the team on the film.
Wonderful creatures! You have such a nice handle on creatures.
He sent me his medication and asked me to go for a medical check up after two weeks of usage. I agreed with him. I took this medication and went for a check up, to my greatest surprise my result was Herpes Negative, i am really happy that I am cured and healthy again. I have waited for 3 weeks to be very sure I was completely healed before writing this testimony. I did another blood test one week ago and it was still Herpes Negative. so i guess it’s time i recommend anyone going through the same way. reach him through his Email address: drluckyherbalcure@gmail.com Or add him on Whatsapp; +2347071651140 and him facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61591862979025
